Sub: M.Tech course in Integrated Water Resource Management-Admission- 2013-2014 batch
The Karunya University is conducting a M.Tech course in Integrated Water Resource Management since 2008. The admission to the course is open for those B.Tech in Engineering or M.Sc in Physical Sciences with 55% marks in the qualifying examination.
The course was started considering the importance of the water sector and job opportunities available in this area both in India and abroad in academic / R& D institutions as well as NGO’s and consultancy firms. The course covers all essentials of hydrology, hydrogeology, water quality monitoring, water treatment, water resource engineering and also social, economic environment aspects of water. While following the curriculum and syllabi which has been taken to match the academic activities with research and extension activities.
The Water institute that runs the course in the University has eminent in-house and visiting faculty and good infrastructure for research. A few research and consultancy projects are carried out by the water institute for GOI, other state governments and international agencies.
